How long does construction forklift training take?

What score do I need to pass?
You must achieve a minimum score of 70% on the final assessment. You have up to 3 attempts to pass.
What is the stability triangle?
The stability triangle is the three-point support system formed by the two front wheels and the pivot point of the rear axle. This triangle determines whether your truck will remain upright or tip over. When the combined center of gravity moves outside this triangle, the truck will tip.
What is load center and why does it matter?
Load center is the horizontal distance from the load’s center of gravity to the face of the forks. Standard capacity ratings assume a 24-inch load center. As load center distance increases, the truck’s safe capacity decreases due to stability physics.
How often must operators be evaluated?
OSHA requires performance evaluation at least every three years. Additional evaluation is required following accidents, near-misses, unsafe practices, or when assigned to different equipment types or construction sites.
What should I do if the forklift tips over?
STAY IN THE OPERATOR COMPARTMENT. Grip the steering wheel firmly, brace your feet, lean away from the direction of the tip, and stay within the protective structure. Statistics show 85% of operators killed in tip-overs were NOT wearing seat belts and attempted to jump.
What is the minimum clearance from power lines?
