This NFPA 70E for Qualified Persons Voice Authentication course (2024 Edition)—offered through the EST Safety Network in partnership with ClickSafety—is a certificate-of-completion training with built-in voice authentication for electrical workers and technicians seeking employer authorization as a qualified person. This meets proctoring requirements in states that mandate identity verification for online safety training.
This course uses voice authentication. VA verifies your identity by prompting you to confirm your voice at random intervals. You must have access to a mobile phone or landline while taking the course.
The course covers the NFPA 70E standard as it relates to the qualified person role: establishing electrically safe work conditions, working while exposed to electrical hazards, selecting and using appropriate PPE, and understanding safety- related maintenance for special equipment.
Important: On-the-Job Training Required
This course must be followed with equipment-specific on-the-job training and supervision before entering work as a designated qualified person. The online course alone does not constitute full qualification.
