Product Details
Description
This HAZWOPER 40-Hour course—offered through the EST Safety Network in partnership with ClickSafety—helps workers, managers, and supervisors meet initial OSHA safety requirements under 29 CFR 1910.120 for hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER).
When workers engage in the cleanup, treatment, storage, or disposal of hazardous substances, they must adhere to OSHA’s HAZWOPER standards. Failure to understand and comply with these standards poses serious risks including chemical burns, skin and eye irritation, respiratory damage, and even death. This training teaches employees at all levels about potential hazards, how to respond when problems arise, and how to minimize the chances they will occur.
Important: Additional Training Required
Students must also obtain additional site-specific training, along with three days of actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor. On-site supervisors and managers may use this training to fulfill the 40-hour component of their training requirements.
About Your Certificate
Certificate of Completion: Available upon passing all knowledge checkpoints with 70% or higher and completing the course evaluation. Issued by ClickSafety, accessible through your Enhance Safety account.
Note: This is not an OSHA Outreach course. It provides an IACET certificate with 4 CEUs documenting your HAZWOPER 40-Hour classroom training component.
